belfry

sharp and stiff is the belfry
in orthodox architecture
to reaffirm faith above the houses
he calls for courage from roofs all around...
yet he cries
in the onion touching the sky
-it's him discharging the rain!-
and from the eyesockets of arches
he protects us
by insunuating doubts among the clouds

campanile

è affilato e rigido il campanile
di buona dottrina architettonica
per affermare la fede sopra le case
chiama a raccolta il coraggio dai tetti..
.eppure piange
nella cipolla a contatto col cielo
-E’ lui che scatena la pioggia !-
e dalle occhiaie degli archi
ci protegge
infilando dubbi tra le nubi
