perché nel pericolo dell’acqua
siamo avvolti dal calore corporeo
delle pecore nella barca, dal cuore
d’una donna
sul bordo
con bambino.
I remi lunghi sull’acqua, dell’uomo dal cappello
fradicio, mestano nel destino; mentre l’ultimo
raggio di sole percorre sotto il nuvolone
quest’altre gobbe di lana, il testone
della pecora qui davanti in
ombra si allunga verso
l’onda, oltre il cerchio
dell’Ave.

здесь, в окруженьи тёмных вод,
мы прижимаемся к теплу телесному
овец в лодчонке, мы под защитой сердца
женщины с ребёнком
на борту.
Лодочник в промокшей шляпе гребёт, тасуя
судьбы, в то время как последний солнца
луч шерстит, перебирает по одной овец;
и голова ушастая здесь, впереди, в

Ave Maria on the crossing
because in the danger of waters we
are cuddled by the bodily warmth of sheep,
by the heart of a woman
on the side
with child.
Long on the water the oars of the man in the
rainsoaked hat stir into destiny. And as the
last sun ray runs above the other woollen
humps, the biggest head here in front
in the shade reaches down

prayer.

der drohenden Wolke der letzte Sonnenstrahl
über die weitere wollene Rücken vergeht,
der riesiger Kopf des Schafs hier voran
im Schatten streckt sich nach der
Welle, jenseits des Kreises
des Ave.
